# IXIL / IRONHEAD

Sound, silence, travel, and tea ritual are translated into five independent graphic directions for two exhaust brands.

IXIL is revealed through sport and travel, IRONHEAD through classic motorcycle culture. The exact inscriptions and the intended character of the exhaust system are specified in the dossier.

### v46 · IXIL — After-sound in the cup

A sharp motor gesture ends in the silence of a tea bowl. Dry black calligraphy and chopped scarlet planes gather around the motorcycle into a graphic after-sound: movement does not disappear but becomes attention to taste. The white pause inside the composition takes the shape of an open tea bowl. This is a metaphor for the memory of sound, not a depiction of exhaust gases or a promise of loudness. The Chinese phrase becomes part of the artistic gesture, and the genuine IXIL gets its own clean field.

### v47 · IXIL — Aftertaste of Distance

The path traveled remains in a person just as the aftertaste of tea does. A broad red road runs across a textured paper map and gradually becomes the vein of a tea leaf. This is a tactile poster about the memory of a journey: layers, folds, and a tea trace replace the usual mountain panorama. Versys and the low IXIL are shown large, on a clear opening of the map; the English phrase holds the lower edge of the composition.

### v48 · IXIL — Two voices, one tea

Two different motorcycles become two voices of one road. Cyanotype prints of tea leaves and two expedition plates form a diptych; a short red connection passes through the gap between them. A shared tea tray with two cups turns this gap into a meeting place. The two silver IXIL retain their own angles and materiality, while the combined logo emphasizes the collection's common language.

### v49 · IRONHEAD — Thunder pressed into tea

A powerful V-twin and pressed pu-erh are united by the theme of heat, pressure, and time. Black-and-copper high print turns the workshop into a poetry of materials: the cold silver ends of two exhaust pipes answer the warm circle of tea in a white gaiwan. The relief of the brick consists of the real structure of pressed leaves, not decorative characters. The exhaust outlet becomes a graphic rhythm that ends with a calm tea pause. The official IRONHEAD is placed on a separate light field on the left.

### v50 · IRONHEAD — Night with a Taste of Tea

A tourist bagger from a desert photo is turned into an engraved night wanderer on an imaginary Chinese Silk Road. Two long chrome pipes reflect the cold stars; warm tea gives the traveler a human point of reference. A Yixing teapot and two cups stand on a travel tea board, around them unfolds the graphics of a celestial navigation instrument: the path is measured by stopping, attention, and taste. The composition is built on a low motorcycle on the left and a spacious night sky, without a row of mountains and without decorative dragons.
